As are so many dogmatic progressive bullet points. Unfortunately, American 'democracy' was originally conceived and intended as a system in which ALL individuals shared a collective sense of personal responsibility for not just their individual affairs but for the greater (common) weal. In today's 'diverse and inclusive' progressive paradigm, we have been saddled with exactly the opposite of that intended effect: a sort of chaotic social anarchy . "Diverse"? Yes, but only if acculturation develops and is embraced uniformly by all these diverse elements. "Inclusive?" Also yes, but not at the expense of targeted ethnic or racial groups that are deemed to be 'evil', or politically vituperous by a relatively small but disproportionately vociferous and outspoken segment of the broader social spectrum ("speculum?"). There's no better 'cure' for all this progressive myopia (in my considered opinion) than a few more thousands of miles on life's odometer (otherwise known as aging and maturity, LoL). It will be interesting to see all the burned-out husks of former idealistic progressive liberals littering the roadside of the American collective life experience when they hit their 60s and 70s, hee-hee.
