Well, Bob, and with all due deference to your strongly expressed opinions, my first temptation was to not reply at all to this. However, I finally yielded to my inclination and in view of the fact that I was saddled with an important need to make a decision as to whether to do so, or go take a healthy post-prandial dump, I yielded to the first option.

Then, after working rather laboriously on a rather lengthy take-down of your cited points, the 'leave-a-comment' sub-menu suddenly and spontaneously 'disappeared' all of my eloquence in one fell swoop!

Since the pup also needs to go on a sniff-and-squirt expedition (doubtless also involving several dumps along the way) shortly, I decided that instead of repeating all of my previous remarks I'd leave you with this brief quote from a Czech newspaper (translated into English) that appeared yesterday in Prague...to wit:

"The danger to America is not Joe Biden, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of a Biden presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Biden, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Biden, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."

This is, most regrettably and in addition to being a remarkably accurate assessment of America as seen by other nations around the world, absolutely square on target. You can rant about Trump and his lackeys all you want (and I am neither a Trump supporter nor defending that idiot) but senescent Joe and intellectually vapid Kamala are as bad if not worse than their red-faced, combed-over predecessor.

You're correct in stating that "America is not the government, but rather the people." But regrettably we are a nation of easily manipulated and emotionally excitable sheep and it is us (the 'sheeple') who have failed to elect TRUELY competent leaders...individuals that have the intelligence, wisdom and charisma to lead us forward in a rational manner.

As famed cartoonist of the 50s Walt Kelly so perfectly stated it in his delightfully pungent cartoon series, POGO, "We have met the enemy...and he is us!"

Enjoy your lobster and clambakes, Bob, before Putin pushes the Big Red Button...
